Rivera Maya

Mexico Trip 2007

We took a wonderful vacation with our friends to the beautiful Rivera Maya to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and Apryle and Brett's 2 year wedding anniversary. We all left for Dallas Friday morning around 2AM, our flight was supposed to be around 7 but got delayed until 9:40. We finally arrived at our resort around 1:00, we ate lunch and then the journey began. I have never seen such a beautiful place! It was absolutely amazing!!!!!

We did all sorts of exhilarating things...we swam with dolphins, which that was so awesome...dolphins are amazing animal...SOO smart!!! We also went parasailing...BEAUTIFUL, you could see ALL the resorts and the beaches and the water was incredible. We also went on a Jungle Tour were your ride your own 2 person speedboat out to the 2nd largest coral reef in the ocean, and you go snorkeling, we saw a barracuda, sea urchin, and many beautiful fish.

Overall, our trip was AMAZING. We didn't want to leave...but we left with many memories.

Anniversary Weekend

WOW...can you believe it's already been ONE whole year! It seems like yesterday we were saying our vows! This by far has been the BEST year of my life, I am SO thankful for the life I have and feel blessed and honored to be married to my husband!

We decided to not do anything too "big" for our anniversary weekend because we leave for Mexico on the 25th (that's our "real" anniversary get-away).

The weekend started by going to the Fort Worth Zoo on Saturday, Zach knows how much I love zoos. I asked to go to Cameron Park Zoo, but he took me to Fort Worth because I have never been there. It was ALOT of fun, we go to see many different animals. They have so much more than Waco has!! We got to go in this bird cage and actually feed the birds, it was really amazing! We also got to pet a sting ray...WOW, that was really neat! After we saw everything there was to see we headed home and stopped at the Hillsboro Outlet Mall to do some last minute Mexico clothes shopping. Then that night Zach rented movies and we had a romantic movie night. Sunday I woke up by Zach placing something on my finger, I woke up to see this beautiful ring (boy does he have good taste...haha). Then I gave him his gift (a razor he has been wanting and a cigar cutter and cigar case engraved with his initials and "Always and Forever" (our famous signature). Then he told me to get dress he was taking me to play putt putt (I KNOW...I am a BIG kid, haha....zoo and putt putt, but it's so much fun!!!) So we went to play Putt Putt, and of course I had to get the PINK ball and putter. Zach I think got a hole in one on every hole....ME on the other hand, I was doing good to hit par...haha!!! BUT it was a blast!!! Then that night we went to eat at Ninfas, and I had fried ice cream...it was not how I expected it to be, but it was YUMMY!!!

Overall, my weekend couldn't have been more perfect! Thank you for checking back on us, and remember we go to Mexico on the 25th so check back for all those pictures :o)

Texas Ranger Game

Sorry...I am a little late posting this but Zach and I , along with some friends, drove to Arlington on Saturday the 5th for the Texas Rangers game. Before we left for Arlington, we all stopped at Academy to pick something up. Apryle and I had TOO much fun there, as you can tell in the pictures below. Once we got to Arlington, we stopped and ate at Joes Crab Shack, which we got some yummy root beer floats, and let me tell you, they were GREAT!! We all received a free Texas Ranger Cincode Mayo T-shirt because we were one of the first 20,000 in the stadium. Over all we had a blast. I posted a slide show below. Thanks for checking back on us.

NO more meds right now!!! :o) I am extremely excited!!!! He told me to take a test on or around the 8th if Aunt Flo hasn't come! Wish us luck!

Welcome

On May 20, 2006 I married my best friend! He is my rock and my everything!! We have 3 sweet (and spoiled) 'four legged' fur-children...Peanut, Ginger and Sasha!

As of right now we don't have any children, BUT boy are we trying! I had our life planed out…new house, honey moon life for a couple years, then plan for kids….however, God had other plans in store for us. I went in for a regular annual and it came back abnormal; I went in for biopsies and scrapings and all the other ‘not so fun’ stuff, I was diagnosed with severe dysplasia (border line cancer of my cervix). My Dr at the time told us if we wanted children we better start trying as it doesn’t look promising.

Being parents is something Zach and I dreamed of, something that we talked about before we got married. Something we never questioned, nor ever thought we would have a hard time with.

While praying desperately for strength and patience I went to many Dr’s appts and underwent freezing’s, several scrapings, biopsies, and even experimental creams…it wasn’t until a good 6 months later I was thankfully ‘cured’ of my dysplasia. However now we faced the dreaded world of infertility.

About a year after that I went to another Dr. for a 2nd opinion and with the HSG, we discovered my tubes were blocked, in December of 07’ I had LAP surgery done to correct my tubes. My Dr. removed a little endo during my surgery and told me I had PCOS. Zach was also diagnosed with a low % of normal sperm….I’ve undergone, many months (off and on of course) of Clomid, Femera, Metformin, Estrogen and Progesterone with follicle scans, I’ve had a total of 3 IUI’s one being with Gonal F injections.

I don’t know God’s plan for us, I don’t know which road we will go down…but I do know he has our best interest in heart and is right by our side. I wish we could run up the staircase, however God ask we take one step at a time and let him guide us up the rest...and thats what were doing.

This blog is about our life, our journey through infertility, and hopefully one day it will become our journey through pregnancy.

You can keep up with the recent updates through the time line on my sidebar.
