Ouchy-wow-wow

OK, so my shot #2 didn't go as smoothly as shot #1....

I alternated sides of my belly, and lets just say my left side didn't like the shot too well...if we didn't have company I could have totally cried like a baby!!!

I stuck out my lip and Zach said"are you ok"....I said "that one hurt"....it wasn't the needle that hurt it was the meds going in...

Has that ever happened to any of y'all??

While I'm asking questions...what kind of side effects can I expect to have...normally with Clomid I can def. expect to have hot flashes, headache and moodiness anywhere near or around the 3rd pill---I have heard that some think there side effects aren't as bad on Gonal F RFF--what are y'alls opinions?

I didn't have as bad of side effects with Gonal F as I did with Clomid! And I can totally relate, you will learn which spots on your tummy to avoid. Hang in there!! I just want you to know I am praying for you Tiffany!!

i dont have any knowledge of this type of shot..but i know that when i have gotten IV's..if the nurse puts the medicine in too fast- it really hurts! maybe u can try it slower next time? i dont know?

try doing what Kinley said- push the meds in slower next time. With Byaetta, you don't have a choice. It's a pen and you just push the button.. Don't know if that's how it is with your pen or not. Sometimes it just burns. And don't be a hero. If you want to cry damnit, cry! lol. As far as side effects, all i have to base my knowledge on is byaetta and clomid. Both gave me hot flashes... For someone who doesn't sweat, I was soaking most of the time... it was strange..

Do you have to shoot it in your tummy or can you go back a little farther to your not-so-muffin tops? When we were giving our baby injections we gave in thighs too... I have only done chlomid, never needles, so I have no idea... OUCHIE for you.. I'll blow it a kiss better...

Hey girl, that Gonal F shot didn't really hurt or bother me. But, to be honest...I gave my shots to myself. I think that helped me. That way I had control of it. Sometimes when I would do my shot...if it stung when I poked myself...and hurt...I would pull it out really quick and find a different spot...not quite sure you are suppose to do that, but oh well!

oh girl its totally when the meds go in that it burns! I swear i would poke myself and be like " thats nothing" but as soon as i pushed in the meds OOOOUUUCCCHHHH!

Mine were painful when I didn't let the alcohol that was rubbed on the skin dry before the injection. That makes for a stinging feeling when the meds are pushing in. Have Zach blow on it or "fan" it first to see if that helps.

Bummer... I guess it wasn't all down hill from there... hope tonight is better! I did Menopur which would sometimes sting going in but never had many side effects!

Your picture was so cute!
But, I stillf eel sorry for you b/c I hate when something happens and I can't cry it out b/c someone is there. I hope your next one is better!

Anything other than clomid is going to be better. I think the devil himself made that drug!

You will have nights that one shot will hurt more than the other. You need to ice the spot until your skin starts to hurt. Then do the injection. You will hardly feel a thing!

Good luck honey! You can do it!

Love you,
Kami

Use ice pre-injection, make sure the alcohol is dry, and make sure those meds are at room temp. Anytime that I did not get the meds to room temp before injection, it would burn really really bad. I used Follistim and had less side effects than when I took clomid. The only bad side effect I had was hot flashes, and those really weren't that bad. Just remember that it will all be so worth it. Praying!

I would say try giving yourself the shots if you can. I am a big baby when it comes to shots if someone else is doing it, but if I am giving them to myself it is easier because I know when and how much pressure I am going to feel. I also gave myself Gonal F in the tops of my legs and it seemed to hurt less. Good Luck!!

Hi Tiff! I follow your story for awhile now and thank you so much for the sweet words and also for sharing your story with me. It helps me understand what you and my sister go through each day. I truly hope that you both are blessed with babies very soon.
