The other day I opened up our refrigerator and saw this lovely container.... 'Catfish Bait'.... I glanced inside to make sure this was indeed what I thought it was before I made a huge commotion about it. Sure enough...it was worms! EWW!
I went to the living room and asked Zach if I could throw them away...
'No honey, there still good'...
'Well, can we keep them outside in your shed then' I said...
'Hon, they have to stay in the fridge....'
'Zach! I don't want worms in the fridge, that's nasty!'
'Tiff, they can't get into anything, there locked up and I promise they won't hurt anything'
'They stink' I said
'No they don't Tiffany'
'ok, well they don't really stink, but I want them out.....'
I proceed to go into the kitchen, grab these ever so yucky worms and put them in a plastic zip lock bag...as least there wormy germs can't breath on my food....
'Tiff...why did you put these in a bag? They can't breath now'
'Their worms, they don't need to breath' (By the way, I still don't know if he was pulling my leg or if worms really need to breath...anyone know this??)
SO HE, proceeds to take them out of the bag I just put them in....SO as you can see in the picture the best 'worm proofing' I could do was place them on top of the bag....
I didn't win this conversation, and maybe it's just me--but the idea of WORMS being in my fridge freaks me out. I do like to fish, and I can bait my own hook...but I am not about keeping these creepy crawlers in my fridge!

I am cracking up over here Tiff. I would freak out too!!! I can't stand worms. LOL I would fry them up for dinner tonight and serve them to him. LOL
I hate to break it to ya hun, but he's right. As gross as it is, they have to stay in the fridge AND not in a bag. If I were you, I'd encourage him to use them all instead of having some left over b/c those suckers last forever! Ick!
p.s. I wouldn't know this had I not been through it w/D so many darn times! lol.
HA!! I do agree with you on this! I would hate to have worms in my fridge! I don't have to worry about that, my hubby is not an outdoorsman! I grew up with major hunter's and fisherman. So I know how it is to have the worms in the fridge. My mom always kept them in the garage fridge.
Have a great st. patty's day!
I do think they need to breath but I also agree with you that it's gross. And, worms aren't that expensive so I surely think he could go buy some more! BY the way, how is your dog? So sorry she got hurt :(
Ha Kami, that is an AWESOME ide!
Too funny!
Ewwww.....I totally would've been just like you and wanting them out of the fridge! :D
That is pretty yucky! not sure I would love to have worms in my fridge either! :)
Oh I completely agree with you! I couldn't have handled worms in my fridge either!
I would have compromised and put them in a cooler with ziploc bags of ice all around them..... just like a fridge only portable :)
I had a very simaler conversation with my husband a few months ago. I like to fish dont mind it at all but a container of dirt and worms in my fridge..with our food...ICK!!!!
GROSS!! I am so proud of you for being able to bait your own hook!! I can't even do that :) I say we try and use those worms this weekend maybe! We have some left over shrimp we could use too! Love ya.
Eww! I'm with ya girl!! I wouldn't want worms in my refrigerator!
