Five Fun Facts

I skipped last Friday’s 5 fun facts and received a few emails saying they missed it, so I decided to do it again for this Friday.

So for this Fabulous Friday I will list my Five Fun Facts on Food:

* I have a major sweet tooth; I will often sit down at a restaurant and look at the desert menu first-picking out the one I want for after I finish my meal; problem is I hardly ever order desert after eating due to me being entirely too full!

* My parents loved mushrooms when I was growing up, I hated them in every way possible…that was until I tried them for the first time about 5 years ago, now I love them…Zach hates them!

* I love pickles, my dad used to tell me when I was little that if I ate another pickle I would turn into one; I love sour pickles the best…and the big ‘ball park’ type pickles…yummmmy!

* I absolutely can’t stand black eyed peas, but every New Years I make myself eat some for good luck...

* I tried my first raw oyster about a year ago; I will never ever ever eat one again…needless to say they are not as good as people make them out to be….YUCK!

I would love to hear your Five Fun Fact about Food. Feel free to leave yours in my comment section or post your very own blog, just leave me your URL so I can check it out :)

Here goes...

1) I love Garbanzo beans (aka chick peas or cici beans). My husband hates them. Says they taste like, "nothing." They are good protein. lol

2) Ever since I was little I liked (and still like) gooseliver or braunschweiger. I know it's probably gross, but I love it.

3) I am Hungarian, so I love all the Hungarian foods (chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage, etc).

4) My favorite salad dressing is "sweet and sour" or poppyseed, as some places call it. Although when I was stationed in California, they had no idea what I was talking about. They thought I was referring to the sweet and sour sauce from Chinese food. haha

5) I like ketchup on my scrambled eggs.

I'm with you on the oysters! I could barely stand to try a fried one and will never try a raw one. Yucky! I do like black eyed peas, but usually only eat them on New Year's. My husband hates mushrooms too, but I like them. I like them on my pizza. :D

I have a MAJOR sweet tooth too! It's terrible! I love pickles and mushrooms! I don't think I could ever get myself to try oysters and I don't think I've ever tried black eyed peas!

I loved pickles as a kid. There was this place near my grandmothers and everytime we traveled to see her my cousins and I would get pickles. They were huge and I LOVED them.

1- Chocolate makes me happy!
2- Milk makes me feel gross.
3- I love to eat a big breakfast, (pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon, fruit) no cereal for us!
4- An afternoon snack, around 4pm, is a must!

I love this! I am also not a fan of raw oysters...
- I also hate mushrooms, and still do, but that's pretty much the only thing I don't like
- My husband and I have only been to the same restaurant a handful of times - there are just so many to try in Chicago!
- I ate some of the best food in my entire life in South Africa
- I was vegetarian for 5 years, but now eat meat almost every day!
- My favorite candy is Swedish Fish, but I don't buy them because once I start I can't stop!
