Memorial Day
Our weekend started out wonderful, but quickly came to an end when I woke up and was barely able to move...Zach and I went out to Lake Whitney Saturday with some friends, and Sunday we went over to our friends house and hung out by there pool. Zach and I planned on spending 'actual' Memorial Day outside in the sun...finishing up our 3 day weekend in the sun, having fun...
Well...needless to say that's not how things happened. As I type this I am curled up on the couch with a heating pad on my back, I somehow pinched a nerve in my back and literally can barely walk. My sweet husband and dusting the living room while I am crippled...bless his soul!
I have the worst back, it's always in pain...I have a slight case of scoliosis and seem to get pinched nerves in my back or shoulders often (it was just last week that I couldn't move my arm due to my shoulder...)
I took a few pictures last night at our friends house, but my camera is nowhere near me and it really takes alot to move, so I will have to upload those later. :)
Does anyone have any cures for pinched nerves, besides soaking in the tub or heating pads??
Hope everyone's Memorial Day has been great!!!!

My husband found relief from some physical therapy visits. His diagnosed a bulging disc on MRI. Basically, the therapy helped relax the muscles and stretch the vertebrae, so the disc and nerve were no longer pinched. I'm sorry...I know it's very painful. Feel better soon!
Ouchy!!!! Hope you feel much better soon!!!!
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with sacroilitis (inflammation in my hips) and it was pinching on a nerve so I know how horrible that pain can be! One thing that gave me some relief was to hang upside down off my couch. (Sounds crazy I know but it worked!) Also, anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen) around the clock for a couple weeks would help. I finally had to get a steroid shot in that area. I hope you feel better soon!
do you go to a chiropractor? may be very helpful....I 've had back pain and my chiro helps!
Chiro! I wouldn't have even tried it if it weren't for an accident I had at a carnival in April. I've been going 3-5 days a week since April (relief was seen in about a week or two.) I have scoliosis too. As someone who has spent several years in pain (I also have bone loss and a few other issues) this has been the best relief! I tried PT for two months a few years ago and it didn't help like this. I'm usually only there 20-30 mins. I plan on going back at least once a month or as needed once Im done in two weeks for the accident.
