It's That Time Again

It's time again for me to wake up at 5 a.m. and swing my arm at my bedside table until I find the basal thermometer. Stick the right end of it in my mouth, in the exact same position everyday, and try to stay awake for five minutes. As I begin to wake up, realize how badly I need to urinate and try to resist the urge without squirming too much. Mentally tell myself, "Just relax, it'll work out" -- chances are I'll hear that a few times today. Try to read the thermometer in the dark while trying not to wake Zach nor the dogs up. Try to either memorize the number or write it down (again in the dark)...

This won't be the first time I have temped, to be honest due to my PCOS and cray hormones it's never worked, my temps are always up and down and it wasn't worth the hassle since I never received an accurate reading...however, I think it's worth trying again...

So folks...it's that time again! Fun-Fun-Fun! :)

yuck. I hated doing that too! I am praying it works out for you guys!!

PS do you not have the thermometer that keeps your last temp recorded? That way you don't have to remember it, just throw it back on the table and check in later when you are awake?

Good luck!!!

Good luck precious friend! This TTC stuff is NO FUN! Why isn't it fun? Isn't it supposed to be? I get to the point where I'm thinking to myself "Just finish already, I don't care if I am done or not." Then, I hear a chair scooting across the floor. "Bailey, what are you doing? Stay off the counter top, mommy will be downstairs in just a minute." GEEZ. Love you!

Oh man I have PCOS also and tried the temping but gave up. Its such a pain trying to get up at the same time every morning (I love my snooze) and make sure its in the correct spot and then at the end of the month it still looks so crazy.

Best of luck to you!!! Stop by sometimes www.thehudackfamily.blogspot.com

Oh man, the dreaded temping. I am really glad you are giving it a shot again. I pray good results come of it! I definitely DON'T miss those days of holding in my pee and not being able to sip a little water while staying as still as possible, but it's all totally worth it!

I have never temped...but may someday if I get back into the swing of things and go all out with trying. Let us know if it works for you this cycle! Good luck!

Hey there!! I hate temping too!!

My friend has PCOS and conceived her little one using the clear blue easy fertility monitor. It is a little pricey but very accurate. I believe they sell it on Costco's website. It might be worth the investment!! It tells you when you are ovulating. My temps were all over the place as well, so I could never tell when I O'd.

The monitor told her if she did or din't O that month.

Hope this helps!!! Good Luck!!!
