Ultrasound Results

I got a call from my Dr. today. My lymph nodes on my neck are benign, they are just swollen. However I have 2 cyst on my thyroid, one on each side. My Dr. told me that these cyst were both benign as well, and I would not require surgery--however since thyroid problems can be a cause of infertility they are sending my ultrasound results to my OBGYN.

My OBGYN called me and he wants me to come in tomorrow morning for intense thyroid blood work, it will take about a week to get the results of this blood work, but this will tell us where we need to go forward with these cyst.

Although I am thankful and excited to know that I do not have any sort of cancer, and most likely will not have to have surgery, I hate to hear that more could be wrong...although if these cyst are one of the causes that I am infertile-getting it fixed will hopefully increase my chances of conceiving a child of our own.

Thank you everyone for the sweet emails and prayers, I will keep y'all posted...

I'm sorry you have to go through all of this. The hubby and I go to our first fertility appointment on the 13th. It's tough stuff, especially since my friends all seem to be pregnant. Don't forget that you have support! And be thankful the cysts aren't cancerous! Your a wonderful person, and you have a beautiful heart!

So glad it's not cancer. But if it is something they can regulate with medication, it could lead to healthy fertility. I have hypothyroidism and I take a small pill every day. It's not too bad and I had a healthy pregnancy as well. :) Cheering and hoping for you.

I am glad everything came back benign! I know it is frustrating to hear about another possible roadblock. I will be praying for you, for strength and stamina as you get these thyroid cysts taken care of. I want you to have a baby sooo much, and I hope that taking care of the cysts is an answer!

Been following you for quite some time now. When I read this I almost started crying for you, tears of joy! I understand your longing and having been longing for so much time. I'm not saying it will, but regulating a thyroid issue might be all you needed to solve years of infertility! God's timing is impeccable and nothing happens without reason! I so look forward to hearing your progress and know that, even though I only know you through your blog, you are still in my prayers when I pray for my fellow infertiles. Much love!
