CD9 Dr.--Appt

CD9/ 2nd Follicle Scan

Before I tell ya’ll about my appt…let me tell you about our “nightly walk & talk” last night…Zach and I have really been thinking hard if we wanted to do the IUI this cycle if it’s an option…part of us (the part that knows it’s helps) wanted too…but then another part (the part that wanted to save the 500.00 for a fertility clinic if we have to go that route) didn’t want too. We have been torn and just didn’t know what to do; well on Monday when we found out I had a HUGE follicle, one of the biggest we have heard about and that I have had we were shocked and totally leaning on the IUI side, but still had some doubts…

Well last night during our walk we talked about what we wanted to do…we both agreed that we really wanted to take advantage of this great follicle, however this was just something holding us both back this time…I asked, “what if we just do the IUI if we have MORE than one”…Zach said “that’s sounds great!!!”…..you see I have NEVER had more than one “mature” follicle when it comes time to trigger or ovulation, so we decided that since we were so reluctant to doing this IUI this time that if it was meant to be “Everything would fall into place by God’s doing”…

So…with that, we finished our walk with and we didn’t have any more doubts in our minds as to what we were going to do…

So I went in this morning, sat on the table before the u/s tech came in and said my routine prayer… “Dear God, please wrap your arms around me during this visit, give me strength to get through this journey, lift me up Lord, Please be with the tech who will be performing my u/s and please guide us all through this…In Jesus name I pray—Amen”The lady came in and said… “You look radiant this morning, you have this “glow” about you today…did you have a good night?” I said “yea…I guess you could say that… :)” I guess that was God's way of telling me he WAS right beside me!!!

OK…OK…so you want the Dr. news…I know I know, I went off track :)

Well I have several follicles, but only one mature one. The follicle that was measuring 32 is now 36.37 (Auuuhhhh-MAZING!!!!)—my other ones are still ranging from 10-14, which most likely will not mature in time. My lining is only a 5.7 but that’s not bad considering I am ONLY on CD9…my Dr. wanted to give me the trigger and just go the natural route this time…I will go back on CD18 (April 3rd) to get progesterone blood work to determine if I did indeed ovulate.

It was confirmed Monday that I do indeed have a tilted uterus. Nothing to worry about though—there are a lot of women who DO get pregnant with tilted uterus, it can just be harder for someone who has problems like myself, however he said it’s nothing he is concerned about…he gave me a list of “tricks” to help with it!

Thank you again for ALL the prayers!!! Please continue to keep us in your prayers and please pray that the “making” of the little Pifer Bean will turn out an success ;o)

GREAT GREAT GREAT! I forgot about your appt today and it's strange, I was folding clothes this morning and I felt like I needed to pray for you! I'm so happy things are working out so far. I'm off work today so I can see your blog. YEAH :) Love you!

I have a tipped uterus too and it worked for us. Hang in there!

So it sounds like your IUI's cost? Here in Oregon they were covered through Kaiser. We both have Kaiser insurance and we had Providence and they quit covering IUI's so we switched to Kaiser and EVERYTHING was covered, except the clomid. But IVF's here are not covered but we had said we were not going that route anyway and so thankful that it worked with the IUI's.

I feel 2009 is going to be your year for a little 2010 baby.

Hi Tiffany.. I know you dont know me but I am Shelly Oliver's sister, Miranda. I have been reading your blog for sometime now as I too am going through fertility issues of my own. And 3 IUIs later still with no baby. I know this may sound weird but what are the "tricks" your doctor sent you home with because i have been told I also have a tilted uterus. I am also on OB/Gyn nurse and have never heard of any tricks. So im just curious. Please email me at mherring06@yahoo.com
Thanks and I hope everything works out for you this cycle. I know how frustrating and disappointing all this can be. Keep your chin up

That's a great doctor update! We will all keep our fingers crossed and continue lifting you both up in prayer for your miracle baby. (And I have a tilted uterus also...It took us a long time to get pregnant-almost 5 years. But now, even though I didn't understand it then, it was worth every single heart ache and tear shed to wait for the son I now I have...)

Keep us updated!

YOUR IUI'S COST YOU $500 OUT OF POCKET EACH TIME?! or did i read that wrong? i wish insurance companies covered everything for infertility. thats not fair that they dont.

We will be praying for you and that this will be successful! I never got that far in the infertility experiement. I have PCOS, and a tilted uterus and we tried for EIGHT years with no luck. One day... when we didn't even plan it.. BAAM! Who wants to wait EIGHT years though? We already had one, so this was secondary infertility... blah.

I know all too well the heartache and frustration of TRYING over and over and OVER again. I would love to try now, but Owen needs his heart first.

We're praying for you.. nothing in this world is more rewardng than becoming a mother.. which ever way it happens.

PRAYERS TO YOU!!!!

Hi Tiffany, nice to meet you. I got your comment. Sure you can follow me, can I follow you? I've left you a comment before, I can't remember how I ran across your blog though.
But I feel your pain with the infertility. So many of us have been there and now I have an almost 2 half yr old. Everyone tells ya to relax and not think about it. What-ever. You can't when you have to know when you're ovulating, etc. The whole thing has made me realize just how small of a window it is to get pg. It's amazing how so many people just get pg and aren't even trying!

good to hear from you!

Thank you SO much for your sweet words and constant encouragement! I must agree with you - Texas is awesome! We have only visited there a handful of times while we were stationed at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma - but each time we went to Tx I would say "I want to live here someday" - that day is quickly approaching! Praise God. I would love to chat through email if you feel up to it sometime. My email is momleavingalegacy@yahoo.com Also, please know that my husband and I lift you two up in prayer each and every day! You are such an insperation to millions of other women - including me! God is going to richly bless you for all of your good works and steady faith! I pray you are having a wonderful evening - and hopefully we will get the opportunity to meet in person one day since we will be so close!! :)

Praying for you tonight and always!

Kelly

Thanks for the prayers... On one of my hardest weeks you and another person found me through the prayer blog. I have been struggling on posting because this is one of the hardest things I have gone through. Your blog is an inspiration for me. I love the walk and talks!
Good luck with this cycle!

Congrats on winning the burp cloth made by Crystal! I think that's one of God's little ways of dropping you some hints of His wonderful promises and that He hasn't forgotten you and Zack. Now you have yet one more thing to put in your hope chest.
