Did the washer pay you?

I wash all the clothes and Zach is horrible at remembering to empty his pockets; I also am horrible at remembering to check his pockets, so the deal is...whatever money is left in his pockets and finds it's way in my washer or dryer is mine...

With that said the following conversation happened last night:

Zach- Did the washer pay you lately?

Me- Yes

Zach- I know it did, and it paid you good too!

Me- Yes it was pretty good...

Zach- That was $30.00, I need that money back...

Me- Nope, that's my tip for doing your clothes ;-)

Zach- Ughhh, when will I learn to check my pockets...

Me- With payments like that, hopefully no time soon!!!

I can't tell you how much money I've made off of 'the washer paying me'. I have a milk jug in there and it's almost full of coins and dollars...once it's full I am going to cash it in---I'm really curious how much money Zach has ''tipped' me to do his clothes through the past year!!

Am I the only wife out there that keeps the money I find in the washer?? Does that make me bad-ha!! :)

That's hilarious! I keep it too! We have a bank for Bailey though and it's "supposed" to go in there :) hehe.

We're the same way. :) Only Mark does a lot of the laundry and I'm the one who forgets to check my pockets. :) He absolutely loves it!

This made me smile! I love it! I don't do this because 1) we NEVER have cash...lol...we use the debit card for everything, and 2) my hubby usually does the laundry. :-) Does that make me a bad wife??!! lol!!!

Same rule at my house. Some months are really good to me and others not so much

The rule at our house is that if it is under $ 20 you can keep it!

I do this too...I cave all the change and cash it in at Christmas it's usually around $100.00 and covers my baking/ candy making...

Oh how I wish I got paid as much as you! I always get these little construction chalk sticks(?!?) and nails and candy wrappers! Nice! lol.

LOL I keep the money too but I've never been "tipped" that much! Mostly a dollar here or there and some coins.

Hubby has a DIRTY job and I REFUSE to put my hands in his pockets. So either he empties them or they get emptied in the wash. Haha!

I do all the laundry here too & just have a jar I toss everything in. It's for the family tho. Maybe if I got tipped that much tho I'd have to start saying it's mine! lol I think maybe we've earned $2 so far with all the pennies from the past year! ha!
