Two steps forward….five steps backwards…. Why does it seem like this is the way of our life…we can’t get ahead without going backwards.
As most of you know my mother has some severe health issues; one being that she has had two brain aneurysms and a brain tumor—one of the aneurysms being operated on last year. If you are new to my blog you can read about that here.
Today she had an appointment with her Dr. for another follow up. She hasn’t been feeling great the past couple weeks/months…he advised her today that he is 90% sure her aneurysm uncoiled (meaning that it’s back) or that she has a new one. Regardless if it’s new or the same one this situation is not good. An aneurysm is never a good thing, and especially when it’s in your brain. He is very concerned about her!
Her Dr is working closely with two other Dr's and they are trying to get everything worked up and to schedule her an angiogram ASAP. If this is another aneurysm like he suspects she will be traveling to Dallas to see a neurologist specialist as this surgery will be more high risk than before; not to mention this will be her third aneurysm (two in almost less than a year).
In the midst of all of this, she still has a severely broken back (which there is nothing they can do for this as it’s too broken to fix and would require an extensive amount of surgery which she could not go through), neuropathy, the brain tumor (which is not operable given it’s location) and several other minor issues.
I am very concerned about her; especially since she had a mini stroke in her last surgery to coil her second aneurysm. I have many mixed emotions about all of this and am trying to be as optimistic as possible. I ask that you please pray for my mother. She is a big part in my life and I would be lost without her. I know our Lord and Savior has a plan and I trust in him--I'm trying to let God do the worrying. Please pray that I continue to stay strong for my mother; and please pray that she remains strong through this as well.
